Happy September, friends!
The kids are back in school and Fall is in the air. Summer was great, but I think we’re all ready for some Fall. Along with Fall comes cozy sweaters, tall boots, changing leaves, and soon, delicious Thanksgiving feasts. Our beloved iced coffees will soon turn to steamy pumpkin spice lattes and hot coffees, (sometimes dosed with Bailey’s for extra warmth).
I know it’s been a while since we checked in, and we’re sorry about that. We’ve been a little busy! In between Saturday mornings at the City Market Downtown, Newget still found time to cut loose at some BBQ’s with friends, and afternoons spent exploring festival after festival in our lively and lovely city of Edmonton. We even squeaked in a few Summer beach trips!
In June we travelled to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for a week of beach lounging and all the rum and hot, humid sun we could handle.
In July we were part of the Edmonton Interstellar Rodeo with our good friend Kitchen by Brad.
In August we were on the road again and found ourselves in Idaho, USA for some ‘moosing’ around on the beach with a new friend, and trying to ‘network’ with a Foodie celebrity.
We also headed to Cultus Lake, BC for some golfing, glamping, and playing Cribbage with family.
Of course, no August is complete without our favourite summer event – The Edmonton Folk Music Festival (and beer gardens)! ..where we might have had a bit too much fun.
I guess you could say our Summer was pretty… beachy.
And now here we are, halfway into the start of September.. Newget is ready for a whole new Fall season of adventures, starting with Thanksgiving next month where we’ll shore up some energy to jump into our favourite season, gifting season!
So, how was your Summer vacation?
